This very nice hotel is locate in Wadi Mousa, about 4 km to Petra. Just few meters from the entrance of the hotel there is the Fountain of Moses where he found water!!! You can see a nice panorama on Wadi Mousa from the hotel. Bedrooms are very nice and clean with all the conforts of a 4 stars hotel like safety box, hair drier, mini bar... You can taste good local food and also international ones. A nice place where you can relax after the visit of Petra!! Alcazar Hotel is a three star hotel with a swimmingpool, divingcenter (SeaStar Divingcenter) and beach club (Club Murjan). They can arange trips to Petra and Wadi Rum. The price is resonable and includes a breakfast buffet (by the pool). You can book a package hotel + diving in advance and get a good price. I paid 290 JD for 7 nights with 10 dives. Leave a Comment

Farah Hotel is a centraly located budget hotel. The bathrooms are shared and there is a refrigerator to use on each floor. I stayed there for one night in 2002 and remember it to be very clean (that is also what is written in the guidebooks). When I was there in 2005 the reception was clean (but too much smoke sometimes around the computor), but the bathrooms and sheets were not as clean as it should be. In 2002 I stayed in a small single room but the second time there there was as uch as four beds in my room. I paid 7 JD in 2002 and the same in 2005. Prices below are from 2002: Single: 7 JD Double: 9 JD Dorm: 4 JD Roof: 2,5 JD Internet: 1 JD/hour Farah Hotel organises day tours (car with driver) to several places close to Amman and if you find someone to share the price with it is good value. Araba Hotel is a friendly and cheap hotel high up in Wadi Mousa. The view is fantastic. Breakfast is served on the balkony (at least in summertime) and dinner, togheter with all other guests at the hotel, is served on the roof. It's very nice to sit on the roof having a coffee or tea watching the sunset over the mountains after a long day of walking in Petra. I can't remember what I paid for a room but whene I checked out I paid 24 JD for three nights, two dinners and two bottles of water. At Araba they can help you organise with a reliable guide in Wadi Rum (desert trip by jeep or camel). Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPhone: 962 795 688853Other Contact: E-mail: Dana_Tower2@hotmail.com

I've been in Aqaba as a 3 day extension to a circuit across Jordan. Expecting to stay at the Movenpick, I was moved to the till then unknown Intercontinental. Everything was absolutely perfect. Though the standard prices are higher than Movenpick's, I paid the same, even in the four days extension I dealt locally -102 euros per day, in half-board (high season). The rooms, the location, the service, and the food, are really "6" stars.
Everything excelent, unless you expect to dive or snorkel from the hotel. Leave a Comment

Excellent hotel, large rooms, extremely nice people and service, good ambiance, several restaurants (we didn't try some of them because the main one served very well at breakfast or dinner and lunch was always out of town). A Portuguese friend found the rooms a little old (?), but we didn't agree. No way! It's really a good hotel Leave a Comment Theme: Hotel
